About Us

Central Wisconsin Fur, Fin and Feather strives to protect, renew, and build safe habitats for all creatures to flourish in Wisconsin’s great outdoors. We also promote safety and ethical sportsmanship among our members and to the public by informing and modeling best practices. We encourage experienced and emerging outdoor enthusiasts to enjoy the outdoors through our funding of projects to make the outdoors accessible and safe for everyone.

Central Wisconsin Fur, Fin and Feather’s vision is to become a vital asset to the preservation and revitalization of Central Wisconsin’s great outdoors and to become a leading advocate of cause-worthy events.  We also strive to become the most attractive outdoor enthusiast’s organization in Central Wisconsin. “Leaving it better than we found it.”

Central Wisconsin Fur, Fin, and Feather Directors

Eric Totzke, President

As a current resident of Abbotsford, WI Eric is no stranger to helping his community.

Eric is a member of the WI German Shorthair Pointer Rescue Group, and also recently became the president of Central Wisconsin Fur, Fin, and Feather. Professionally, Eric is the production/planning manager at PCA in Colby.

He was introduced to the outdoors at the age of 16 through Edgar’s FFA yearly fishing trip to Canada. That’s when his passion for the outdoors started to bloom. He enjoys bow hunting, rifle hunting, and ice fishing. Though Eric’s passion is bow hunting he loves his ice fishing just as much, and someday hopes to do enjoy some hunting and fishing trips out west or up to Canada.

“I love kids and veterans and getting them involved in the outdoors!”

Chris brandner, secretary

Chris with a nice Smallmouth

Chris comes from the Medford, WI area and now calls the community of Colby-Abbotsford, WI home. Chris’ passion for the outdoors was first ignited by his father at a very early age.

Chris enjoys hunting, fishing, atv riding, spending time at the cabin and being near “the water” when possible. Chris’s true passion is fishing, whether it’s inland lakes, rivers, and streams or the great lakes themselves. Chris is familiar with most water in the area and he loves to conversate about the latest fishing gear, fishing tips, tactics, and seasonal fish activity. His favorite fish to catch are bass, but he fishes for anything that puts up a fight on the line.

Chris became a member of the CWF3 organization because he saw it as a way to be a part of a group of people that enjoyed the same types of hobbies and interests that he had. He also looks forward to improving the overall outdoor experience people receive at a local level.

“I’ll see you out on the water!”

— Chris

john Stubbe, board member

John grew up in the Athens, WI area and now calls the Stubbe Biocommunity of Owen-Withee, WI home. With family in the agriculture and forestry by-products industry he was introduced to the outdoors at a very young age and spending time outside and in nature is something he grew to love.

John enjoys hunting, fishing, hiking, snowmobiling, atv riding, and on/off road motorcycling. His favorites include hunting whitetail deer and turkeys and admits that while he does fish in summer, it’s only because he has to wait until fall to hunt.

Alongside John’s outdoor interests, he also teaches the WI DNR hunter safety program, is a member and the vice president of membership for the O-W Jaycees, and is a volunteer and on the board of directors for the House of Friends after school program in the community of Owen-Withee as well.

John joined the CWF3 organization because he enjoys the outdoors and wants to help maintain and improve outdoor opportunities in the area.

If you see me “out and about” don’t forget to stop and say hi! – John

Dallas also is a member of the Central Fire District. After working at his first banquet Dallas’ passion for F3 has only grown. His love for the outdoors and getting kids involved is what caused Dallas to join the board, and he is even more excited to help after seeing how the banquet was run as well as the success we had raising money for our causes.

Outside of volunteering in the community and his passion for hunting and fishing Dallas loves his Wisconsin sports teams and can be heard cheering(or swearing) at the TV during Brewers, Packers or Badgers games depending on the outcome!
